Coffee YAAAAY!! Everybody's favorite part of the morning right??? Did you know only 54% of Americans drink coffee?? Yes you read that right a little over 1/2 of Americans drink coffee... However, I am not one of them!! BUT that does not stop me from buying coffee. Buying coffee and not drinking it, what in the world can I be doing with it?
There are so many things you can use coffee for besides actually drinking it. Here are some things I like to do with my coffee since I m not a coffee drinker
Exfoliate and get rid of cellulite (Not permanant)
Exfoliating with coffee is great because it firms and tones and tightens the skin, it also temporarily diminshes the appearnce of cellulite. Research has shown that coffee can reduce the appearnce of cellultie up to 17%. It's also been proven that caffeine on the skin works as a constrictor to reduce swelling and inflammation (Great for puffy eyes in the morning), it also helps get rid of dark circles, unless they are hereditary.
Recipe for Coffee body scrub:
1 cup of ground Death Wish Coffee
1/2 cup of sugar (white or brown)
1 cup of coconut oil
3tbs of honey
* Mix everything together in a bowl and apply to tthe areas you want to treat
* I do NOT recommend scrubbing around the eyes! Place it around the eye area for 5-10 minutes and wash away
* DO NOT do this close to your bed time!!! I've made this mistake and stayed up for hours!!
*Can be applied to your whole face and neck area for an instant face life
*Results usually last 2-3 hours but with Death Wish Coffee my results lasted 5 hours!!
Clean your hands
Just got done cutting up some onions or garlic and the smell is still on your hands??? GROSS!! We all hate that!! Mix some coffee with you hand soap and voila, no more smelly hands!!
Deodorizer
If your fridge or freezer has an odor you're trying to get rid of then take some of your used coffee grinds from the coffee you had this morning and put it in some old panty hose, tie the open end and cut off the excess, then throw place it in your freezer or fridge and have a good day! You can also use it as an airfreshner in your son's stinky car! Just add some lemon, lime or orange peels! :)
Cleaning dishes
You ran all out of brillo pads and the other dish scrubber is all flat and scrubby part is gross then just use your ground coffee, soak your dishes, add soap and then coffee on your sponge and whatever is tsuck on your dishes will come right off.
Hair growth
Caffine stimulates hair growth, I like to use it for my "Pre Poo" (Pre shampooing) For this I make a STRONG cup of Death Wish coffee like normal, add some honey, apply it to my DRY hair, put on a shower cap and sit with it on my head for 30 minutes before I finish my wash day routine.
